Starting A Pack
If you want to start a pack/gang/group/etc in Canis Fabula, first acquire 250 Fangs (The equivalent to posting about 50 times. This is done to make sure pack leaders are experienced.) Then, contact an Admin with the form below. Once they have accepted it, you should post a claiming thread in the desired territory, where your character declares IC that the land is theirs. The Fangs will be subtracted from your account.
Afterwards, the admin will PM you the pack info template. Post it in a thread in the territory, and an admin will sticky it. Alphas can go into any thread in their territory, public or private, but cannot lock or modify threads other than the pack thread.
This form should be used for starting a pack:
Because canines may have to travel frequently in search of prey, they may leave their territory unless the leader says otherwise, although any canine not belonging to the pack that walks in may be attacked. Packs may be multi-species, roleplay permitting.
Congrats, you're now at the head of a pack! You can modify ranks and laws as you please, promote or demote members, or even have events.
Alpha Challenges
Alpha challenges can be made by a pack member or loner against a pack leader. The outcome can be agreed upon OOC or, if neither player can agree or they wish to leave things to chance, I will use random.org to determine the outcome of the fight.
In the event a leader becomes inactive or leaves, the pack will be lead by the second-in-command, or, if there is no second-in-command, they will either disband or members can challenge eachother for the right.
Pack Conflict and Diplomacy
Conflict can be either internal or external. Internal conflict would be things like members fighting, or the pack uprising against the leader. External conflict would be danger from outside the pack, such as a troublesome loner(s) or another pack becoming aggressive.
Packs can be both friendly and hostile to eachother. Wars, alliances, and other plot twists are all encouraged, as it makes the roleplay more interesting.
